Red Bull Reveals Major 2026 Driver Roster: Hadjar Promoted, Youngster Arvid Lindblad Gets F1 Drive.

Red Bull has announced a new line-up for the 2026 Formula 1 season, moving up Frenchman Isack Hadjar to its senior team and giving 18-year-old Briton Arvid Lindblad his debut Formula 1 seat.
The young driver, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, will be team-mate to Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the sister squad VCARB.
This reshuffling results in Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda losing his seat following a five-year stint.
The New British Hope
The British teen took part in first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix this year.
The youngster was tagged as a prodigy by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old.
Regarding the team's young driver programme, a key advisor noted last year that Lindblad "appears very talented", praising his "raw pace".
Red Bull has had a plan for some time to prepare Lindblad for his potential Grand Prix bow in 2026, featuring runs in F1 practice sessions at Silverstone and Mexico City.
Lindblad stated it was a "dream come true", adding: "Next season represents a big challenge, and I know there's much to understand, but I'm ready to work closely with the team and step up. I am incredibly excited to get started."
He has won a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is sixth in the standings heading into the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
A Major Opportunity for Hadjar
Isack Hadjar celebrates his maiden top-three finish in F1, achieved at the Zandvoort race in August.
Hadjar's F1 career began on a low note when he spun out during the warm-up lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. But, since then, he has emerged as one of the most impressive newcomers this season.
His performances included an outstanding podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies 10th in the drivers' standings.
A senior team figure commented: "Isack has shown impressive growth and proved to be a quick learner. Most importantly, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can excel alongside Max."
Hadjar described it "an incredible opportunity" and said he felt "prepared".
Tsunoda's Exit
For the seat at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have opted for Lawson instead of Tsunoda.
The New Zealander began the season with the main team but was demoted early in the year. He has found his form at the junior outfit with notable results, persuading Red Bull he deserves more time.
Tsunoda, meanwhile, loses his place after a disappointing season. His best result is a P6, and he has accumulated a minor percentage of the team's points total.
The driver market moves confirm that there is also no place on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 next season.
